QV-l.-W 04-05W 04-H.8W OPERATIONAL REMARKS (WAR DIARY) 0000-0400 Moored in Dart River off Dartmouth, Devon, England in nest with USS LST's 372 &. 373 in 7 fathoms of water, muddy bottom, using 6 wire cables and 3 manilla lines to LST 372 and buoys #1 and #1A. Ship's heading 090°t. Bearings: Range Mark 050°t; V/atch Tower 129°t. Flying flag of CTG123.3. No cargo. USN Beach Battalion personnel and 2 AUS enlisted men on board. Other ships present: USS LST's5,157,309, miscellaneous amphibious craft, U.S. and British naval, merchant and harbor craft. ff} generator being overhauled. 0400-0800 Moored as before. 0715 Started main engines.
